Formed in 1965 and now with more than 7000 employees, the LuK Group has twelve manufacturing sites in Germany, Brazil, Great Britain, India, Mexico, South Africa, Hungary and the USA. Every year we produce more than 12 million clutches and 3 million Dual Mass Flywheels (DMF's). LuK has nearly every vehicle manufacturer across the World on its customer list.

We have an uncompromising commitment to Research and Development (R&D). Taking into account the number of employees, LuK has the second highest number of patent applications in Germany and holds more than 1000 patents. One in every 8 LuK employees is active in R&D.

Through this innovative culture, LuK has become successful in a number of additional fields:

  • automation of the clutch and of conventional manual transmissions
  • components for Continuously Variable Transmissions (CVT)
  • components for conventional automatic transmissions
  • hydraulic components and pumps for hydraulic applications (power assisted steering, fuel injection, suspension compensation)

Quality and customer satisfaction is central to all our engineering activities and all employees are expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and procedures, be fully committed to the LuK Quality Policy, and the delivery of customer satisfaction in excess of customer expectation. We take pride in the technical expertise of our workforce, which is continually developed through training programmes.
