Schaeffler registered 1,832 patents in Germany during the past year – the largest number ever. The German Patent and Trademark Office has published the names of Germany’s most innovative companies in its annual statistics.
Schaeffler Once Again Ranked 4th Most Innovative Company in GermanySchaeffler generates record sales and earnings in 2011
In 2011, Schaeffler has significantly exceeded its 2010 record levels of sales and earnings. For the first time in the company’s history, sales topped the €10 billion mark, increasing by 13 percent to approximately €10.7 billion, while EBIT improved by 12 percent to approximately €1.7 billion.

Schaeffler presents customized innovations for the energy-efficient automobiles of tomorrow in India
The focus of attention will be on India’s growing automotive sector at the Auto Expo Delhi, which is taking place from January 5 to 11, 2012. With the motto efficient future mobility, Schaeffler is presenting a large number of innovations for optimizing conventional drive trains with internal combustion engines in Delhi. The highlight of the Schaeffler booth is the concept model Schaeffler advanced Drive, which showcases a range of advanced detailed solutions for engines, transmissions and chassis.

In the world of octane and Volt – Schaeffler at the Tokyo Motor Show
Efficient future mobility is the motto of Schaeffler’s appearance at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show (November 30 – December 11, 2011). Schaeffler is showing the concept study advanced Drive in the Japanese city. This exhibit provides an insight into Schaeffler’s extremely varied product range for energy-efficient and forward-looking mobility using products for power trains based on the internal combustion engine as an example.

Transformation of Schaeffler GmbH into Schaeffler AG has been finalized
The transformation of Schaeffler GmbH into a stock corporation (Schaeffler AG) announced by the Supervisory Board in September became effective with the entry in the Commercial Register on October 13.
Schaeffler GmbH is now called Schaeffler AG.
